The Inner Work of Leadership: A Conversation on the 'Becoming My Stronger Me' Podcast
I recently had the privilege of joining Nassim Ebrahimi, PhD, on her podcast, Becoming My Stronger Me. It was one of those rare conversations where you walk away feeling more grounded, more seen, and more reflective about the path you're on.
Together, we explored a side of leadership that often goes unspoken—the inner side. The part that doesn’t show up on a résumé or in polished team meetings. The part that’s about how you lead yourself before you lead anyone else.
Leadership Beyond the Surface
We talked about what it really means to lead with awareness, consistency, and care—not just in ideal conditions, but especially under pressure. Because that's when true leadership shows itself: not when things are easy, but when you’re navigating stress, resistance, or the pull of old habits.
That mental and emotional effort? It’s real. And it’s heavy. But it’s also what builds resilience, integrity, and clarity over time.
The Unseen Labor of Leaders
Leadership isn't just strategy and execution. It's inner work. It’s personal responsibility. It’s the self-reflection required to notice your own patterns before they play out in your team or business. It’s choosing discomfort over avoidance and growth over ego, again and again.
Nassim created the kind of space where that truth could be explored openly. Her ability to hold both vulnerability and clarity made it possible to have a conversation that didn’t just skim the surface. And I’m grateful for that.
For Anyone Who Leads With Intention
If you’re a coach, a founder, an athlete, or simply someone committed to showing up with more honesty and intentionality, this episode might offer something that resonates. It’s not a checklist or a blueprint. But it’s a conversation that might prompt your own reflections on how you lead, and why it matters.
